I spent about 4 hours in triage last night. My ultrasound tech was a perky 13 year old-well she looked that old who used the word "bummers" and "panties". And she couldn't tell me anything. Then went outside my door and announced what she found to all of the nurses and midwives. Loudly.
My nurse was convinced the pain I am having is coming from the baby kicking me. So now when baby starts kicking, I have that song stuck in my head "Kung Foo Fighting".
I don't understand why people like Vicodin. I thought for some reason that my arms and head weren't attached anymore. That they were on balloon strings tied to my body. I also thought my nose was the funniest thing ever. Then I started crying. And then I just felt drugged.
My husband told me we're not going back to triage until my water breaks. So if you read a post about how I had my baby in a bathtub while my two kids played in their rooms, you know why.

I am so sorry you are in so much pain. I can't imagine how long your pregnancies must seem to you!! I don't like vicodin either. It makes me puke. Percocet, now, that's some good stuff. Or, at least, it is when I don't have to be conscious or aware of anything for the next 8 hours! Ha! Like that ever happens.
Hope these next 6 weeks go REALLY FAST for you!
