These boots were made for walking.

So when I had kids I made a vow that I would never allow them to wear those tacky shoes that light up and have cartoon characters on them. After all, my mother never let us wear them!
You probably already know where this is going. At this current time Xander loves all things cowboys, trains, and dinosaurs. Yep he is all boy. He also loves the movie Toy Story 2, or at least the characters Woody and "Buzz Light" which actually when he says it comes out "Bud Light" and is rather embarrassing when your 2.5 year old is asking for a Bud Light in the middle of Khols, but thats a different story.
Last week my mom was up visiting, now I think she has a bit of a soft spot for her grandkids. Just a notion I have. So we found a pair of cowboy boots that not only light up, but have a plastic Woody and Buzz Lightyear on the side. Can we say tacky? But Xander loved them, so Nonna got them for him.
He wears them everywhere. He could care less thats it's 90 degrees outside, he just slips them on and walks around in his cowboy boots- clothing and socks optional. And he stomps, just so that they light up. I know he'll eventually outgrow them, but for now they make him very happy, and I am okay with that. (If you know me-thats a big thing, I like my kids clothing to match all the way down to their shoes.)
I would post pictures, but I have no idea how. So you'll just have to imagine. Someday I will figure that out.

Too funny. I have done MANY things I swore I'd never do as a mom. haha. ;) Including saying "cuz I said so". Yikes.
