I love to shop, most you already know this, but I really do. I love seeking out bargains and get all giddy an happy when I find them.
So today when I actually had an excuse to go out of the house (I really am staying at home more and only going out when necessary) I figured I would swing by the Outlets after taking the kids to the Hands on House (more on that in a different post).
Xander really needed some new church shoes for the fall and the StrideRite Outlet was supposedly having a sale. Do you know what it's like dragging two toddlers in a store when neither one of them has had a nap? They were actually arguing over who got to sit in the stroller. (Yes I have a double stroller, but I hate it, its big and bulky and the only place it might actually be easy to push is Costco.) And when they weren't arguing over it, Xander was picking out shoes that oh may fit him in about 5 years and Lailah was happily rearranging their clearance racks. She loves shoes too, she kept finding pretty pink shoes and putting them in different boxes. On the plus side we did give that very bored looking store clerk something to do! (I never did find that other sandal.) I was successful in my shoe hunt though, I found 4 pairs of shoes for under $60.00. And these are Striderite shoes, which are really good shoes for kids, and the only shoes that happen to fit my Frodo footed children. 3 of them were for my brothers, and one pair of brown Sabbath Shoes for Xander. I was so happy!
Then it was off to Gymboree, because I had told Xander that if he stood quietly we would go to the store with the TV in it. Yes I am aware that is bad parenting, but it worked. So off to Gymboree we went. Now I looove Gymboree, I love their clothes, well the girl ones, not so crazy about the boy ones, they all look alike, I mean seriously how many times can you do alligators, frogs, skulls, cowboys and somehow make it look different then last season? The answer is I think twice. So anyhow, back to Gymboree, I got the kids settled in front of the TV, and since we don't really watch TV at home (except Dinosaur Train and some DVD's) Xander was thrilled with it. Lailah was thrilled in following after the sales lady and showing her her shoes, which by the way squeaked. She thought it was the greatest thing, that her shoes squeaked. She showed anybody who happened to stop by her. She would point to her toes and say "shoes" and then stomp her feet so they would squeak. But back to the topic at hand. So I am wandering around the store, just browsing when the clerk says to me "Does your daughter need a swimsuit? Because those you are looking at are $3.99" I think $3.99?! Where can you find an adorable swimsuit for that cheap? So guess who got a swimsuit for $3.99? Yep Lailah, now I did buy it for next year since we already have plenty for this year. I'm still smiling over that.
So if your looking to buy for your kids for next year, now is the time! All the stores are clearing out their summer stuff to make room for the fall stuff, Carters, Gymboree, Oshkosh, and Children's Place are having wonderful sales! I got Xander polos for next year @ The Children's Place for $1.99 you can't beat that, and it's brand new, brand name clothing, it's not cheaply made I'm not gonna mention the name of the store, but you can also buy your groceries there clothing! And it's not somebody else has already worn this and we're not related to them clothing!
Anyhoos that's all!

I love Gymboree. People are sometimes all, "Oh, their clothes are too expensive.." But not really, if you shop the sales like I do.
I love Gymboree too, not so much for my son as my daughter though. Their sales are wonderful, and when they hand out the gymbucks, it's like getting paid to shop!
You can get some great sales in Gymboree...I do love their girly stuff, too. Tirzah got some things from there for her birthday last week and I was so excited. :)
