Shabbat Shalom

I am so happy it's Sabbath. For the next 24 hours (well less now since sundown was a while ago) it's Sabbath rest. The house is clean, the food is prepared, but most importantly my heart was ready this week. It took a lot of praying, but this week I wasn't stressed, sure there were things that had to be done today, and I didn't get a good nights sleep last night, but today I can honestly say was a good day.

The Lord was so good to us in giving us the Sabbath. My favorite part of Sabbath? Being able to relax, spend time with my little family without the stress and hustle and bustle of the week. To be able to have the time to just sit back and maybe do some extra studying, maybe spend some time out in nature, most likely fellowship with others, most likely go to church, and sometimes even a Sabbath afternoon nap. Xander loves the Sabbath because he knows we get to go to Sabbath School and eat lunch, and he gets time with his daddy. Lailah is a bit oblivious to it all right now, she likes Sabbath School, just not so sure about the rest of it!
Do you have any favorite things to do on the Sabbath? What are some ideas that you do with your little ones to keep them occupied?

Peaceful Sabbath ya'll!

(Exodus 20:11)

I have to say my favorite Sabbaths are the ones my husband and I stay up late catching up on the lesson study or reading together from something parallel to this week's topic. And we usually still want to study more so we get up early together in the morning, too! I love it! We keep the older kids busy in the afternoons with legos and special markers and crayons while the youngest naps.
